AML’s Dragonfly wearable computer is a rugged, high-performance device that gives users immediate access to their data, while not impeding their speed and efficiency.

Description

Dragonfly’s Android operating system can access modern ERP and WMS systems through a web browser, dedicated Android apps, or a terminal emulation (TE) client. The 4.3” display is “right-sized” to keep the device light, nimble, and comfortable while offering easily legible on-screen data. AML offers multiple hypoallergenic medical-grade armband options to secure the wearable on a user’s arm. In comparison, other wearables on the market today use less comfortable TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) material for the armband.

High-Performance is Dragonfly’s middle name, offering up the Android operating system powered by the Qualcomm® Octa-core processor running at speeds of up to 2.7GHz.

Our standard battery offers 18.5 watt-hours of capacity, which is 40% more than the standard battery of other devices in its class. To match our battery capacity, other brands offer an extended battery, at an additional cost and additional weight. The Dragonfly can also be charged via its onboard USB-C port in the event a battery charger is not available or convenient.

A unique feature of the Dragonfly, four programmable buttons are just below the display for up, down, left, and right operations. An optional 21-key numeric keypad, with alternate alpha characters, can be attached securely to the Dragonfly. Keyworx™, designed by AML, is a dockable keyboard that can be customized according to user preference. Watch the video for more details. AML Purpose Built AppsIn keeping with AML’s family of mobile computing products, Dragonfly is also supported by our wide range of software utilities and applications that simplify the deployment and management of AML devices. AML Setup, AML Lockdown, and AML Barcode are all tools that are pre-loaded and included with every Dragonfly. In addition, our popular DC Suite data collection software is license-free and pre-loaded. Finally, optional software includes AppLync, our industrial browser, and AML Device Manager, the ideal mobile device manager (MDM) web application for easing the deployment and maintenance of AML devices, especially when deployed over multiple sites.

Simply put, Dragonfly can accomplish all the same tasks as a traditional “pistol-grip” mobile computer but in a more convenient form factor.
